Through the School Library Resource Centre, children of all year levels develop Information Skills and a love of Literature. All classes have timetabled borrowing times through the school week. Children may also borrow independently any day during lunchbreaks. (please refer to Borrowing Rules below).

The air-conditioned Library provides a quiet haven for students to read, play board games, use computers or draw at lunchbreaks. Our up-to-date collection of resources meets the needs of the school population. These resources include information books, picture books, popular novels, computer software, videos, kits, charts, reference materials, magazines and the daily newspaper. Increasingly, the Library is also becoming the gateway to electronic and Internet sources of information via our mini-lab of 11 networked computers.

Borrowing Rules

  • Students in Prep - 2 require a library bag to borrow;

  • Prep -2 are allowed 1 book for up to 2 weeks;

  • Years 3-7 are allowed 2 books for up to 2 weeks;

  • Extra loans can be arranged by negotiation with Classroom Teachers if required for projects;

  • Overdue notices are issued towards the end of each term before holiday breaks;

  • It is our policy to request that parents (or students) make a donation to cover the replacement cost of lost or badly damaged books
