IWB's installed in classrooms PDF Print E-mail

In the past week, a total of 10 Interactive Whiteboards or Fixed projector & screen installations were completed across the campus, from Prep - Year 7. These were funded out of the NSP project as well as subsidised by the P&C and Dayboro Apex. This exciting new teaching and learning technology has been enthusiastically adopted by teachers & students. All staff will receive PD on Interactive Whiteboards in the next couple of weeks. Please see some photos below showing some of our IWB's.

(Sporting Events) Students from Prep to Year 2 will be bussed to the Dayboro Swimming Pool for half hour swimming lessons.

(Sporting Events) Students from Prep to Year 2 will be bussed to the Dayboro Swimming Pool for half hour swimming lessons.

School Music Night
November 27, 2009 (7:00 pm - 8:30 pm)
(General Event) The Choir and Band will perform at a Music Night at the Dayboro Hall that commences at 7.00am.

(Sporting Events) Students from Prep to Year 2 will be bussed to the Dayboro Swimming Pool for half hour swimming lessons.

Prep to Year 3 Swimming Carnival
December 2, 2009 (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)
(Sporting Events) Students from Prep to Year 3 will have a fun Swimming Carnival at the Dayboro Pool. Parents are welcome to attend. House captains from Year 7 will attend to act as officials and life guards.

Officer Troy addresses parade

Dayboro's new police officer - Officer Troy - addressed parade on 16th August. He spoke to students about staying safe over the holidays. Officer Troy revealed that he once was a primary school teacher! We welcome Officer Troy to our community.

 

2nd edition of the "Dayboro Buzz"

The second edition of the "Dayboro Buzz" newsletter was launched on parade on 16th August. Congratulations must go to our team of school reporters, the editorial team & the supervising Teachers for all the hours spent in putting this edition together. After parade, the reporters delivered copies of the "Dayboro Buzz" to local businesses. This project has been a great success!

Update on new Hall & Resource Centre

 

The steel framework for the new hall is currently going up, as are the steel posts for the new library building. Students and staff are taking a keen interest in the progress of these buildings and all the associated trucks, cranes and other construction machinery at our school. More photos can be viewed in the gallery section.

 

Swimming Safety Talk

On Thursday 3rd September, all Prep to Year 4 students attended a Swimming Safety Talk, just in time for the upcoming holiday period. Prep to Year 2 students will also be involved in the "Successful Strokes" learn-to-swim classes in Term 4.
