Wow – hasn’t the year just flown by? It’s hard to believe that it is fourth term already!
This term Year 5W will be learning more about our environment and investigating ways to plan for a sustainable future in our unit:
“Our Environment – Making a Difference”
Throughout our unit we will be exploring alternative sources of energy. Students will reflect on how they use electrical energy and strategies they can employ to make better use of energy resources.
Water resources will also be studied with a focus on conserving water and ways to maximise water use within the home.
Students will conduct an environmental study of a local area and develop strategies to help keep this area clean and tidy.
